Matt Dieterle

Children’s Ministries Director

Matt Dieterle joined the staff of South Baptist Church in March 2011.

Matt is originally from Flint, Michigan. He grew up in a Christian home and accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior when he was eight. He graduated from Michigan State University in 1991. He served in various roles within the automotive industry for over 17 years before being laid off due to the tough economic climate. It was during this time that Matt had the opportunity to reflect on his life and seek the Lord to determine what future career direction to pursue. Through this time of reflection and seeking to identify Matt’s personal passions, the Lord burdened him with a desire to have a more direct impact on people’s lives, and prepared him and called him to serve in his current role as Children’s Ministry Director.

God has blessed Matt and his wife Melanie with four children: Ashlyn, Allyson, Madison, and Nolan
