I hope you had a chance to attend last week’s Coffee House Café.  If not, I would like to share with you one of the many messages that I was challenged with.  The fact that life is made up of a series of choices, many made daily without thought, which will affect us forever.  I walked away thinking of past decisions in my life where I hadn’t sought the Lord for wisdom or had simply chosen not to be obedient to His Word.  How much of life’s pain is simply a consequence of bad choices or the result of disobedience?

There are so many distractions in life that can pull us away from Christ.  We must be intentional in our decision making to not let those diversions get in the way of our relationship with Him.  I’m so humbled by a God that loves me beyond measure and graciously forgives me when I confess my wrong doings.  I am thankful for His assurance of guidance found in Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”  I hope you will join me in seeking to please Him today with choices we make as we trust in Him.
