Men’s Ministry

There is a heart for men at the core of our ministry here at South Baptist. The unique needs of men today and the difficult cultural environment they must navigate through, make it vitally important that we do all we can to encourage all men to step up and fulfill their God-given role today! Through a variety of opportunities, we want to see this happen.

Wednesday Night Bible Study

Wednesday nights at 6:30 during the school year is when our men meet for Bible Study, discussion, and prayer.  We enjoy this time to study, and interact with each other, encouraging one another to stay the course during the week.  We are going to start up on September 18th.  Click here to sign up!

Heavy Lifters

Heavy Lifters is a ministry that gives men the opportunity to use their muscles and their skills to encourage someone in our church family who has a need. Will you fill out a survey to let us know what skills you may have?  Click here to do that!

The Quest at Lincoln Lake Camp

Each September we head to Lincoln Lake Camp in Gowen, MI for a chance to have fun, eat well, and learn what it means to live like a real man!  The cost is $75. The weekend is for guys age 16+.

Wilderness Trips

Taking trips to Algonquin Provincial Park to spend time with God and be challenged to live for Him, have been a great part of the Men’s Ministry at South.

Other Opportunities

There are lots of other opportunities for men at South! We attend Men’s Weekends (one year we went to the Act Like Men Conference in Chicago), we have a softball team, we go on fishing trips, and sometimes have a golf tournament — but more importantly, we lead. We study the Bible, we pray for and serve each other, and we have a lot of fun, too.
