When you think of courage, what comes to mind? The lion in the Wizard of Oz, or maybe the Marines raising the flag on Mt. Suribachi on Iwo Jima during WW2? When it comes right down to it, we all want to be courageous. It’s just that, sometimes the obstacles are so great and the odds are so overwhelming, that we can’t even imagine a victory! This is the challenge God’s people faced when they were told to go into the promised land and take possession of it way back in early Bible times. What things had they learned through all the years of wandering that led to one victory after another against overwhelming odds?
