Nabal and Abigail enter the account this week, and David had some serious choices to make!  God came through, I'll just say that.

In series of unpredictable events, David had the opportunity to take out Saul, who was in a vulnerable position.  Through David's response we can learn some things! And David also is shown to be a Deliverer, a picture of Christ--our Ultimate Deliverer.

David was experiencing a time of trial and testing in his life, because God was wanting to produce some steadfastness in the one He chose to be the next king of his people, the Israelites. One by one, the crutches were removed.  Pastor Scott shares how this can be a good thing.

Jealousy can have devastating effects on relationships--this is lived out by Saul and his relationship with David.

David is the small shepherd-boy hero of the account of David and Goliath, right? Pastor Scott takes us through what happened, and who the ACTUAL hero is.

Was it David's physique that got him chosen to be the king of Israel?  Certainly not, though he had serious strength and skills in protecting sheep.  God chose him because of his heart - and we ought to remember this when we want to be used by God!

Pastor Scott set the stage for our new series on David. We were reminded that even though there were 66 chapters of the Bible devoted to the life of David - the real Star of his life, is God! The real Star is always God.
