We believe that Christ-followers cannot grow in isolation. We need others around us to stretch us, strengthen us, encourage us, pray with us and keep us accountable. Consider the following verses:
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.” Hebrews 10:24
“As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” Proverbs 27:17
Life Groups is our strategy to help people get connected! Groups usually being after Labor Day and run through May. If you are currently in a group, you don’t need to do anything. If you’d like to join a group, or if you would like more information, please send and email to Pastor Scott at firstname.lastname@example.org and he will contact you.
Who? Each group consists of 10-12 adults (and their families) meeting together, with each group led by a Life Group Facilitator. While our goal is to form groups from people going through a similar life stage, most groups have a variety of ages and backgrounds. Each group works out their own plan to care for any children attending.
What? Each group meets for about 90 minutes and includes a time of food/fellowship, application discussion centered on the morning worship service message, purposeful prayer and small group care.
Where? Each group meets in the home of a church family member. We will do our best to place you in a group that meets within a reasonable distance from your home.
When? Life Groups season begins in September and concludes in May. Most groups meet on Sunday afternoons or evenings at a time determined by the group. Occasionally, groups are cancelled when there are church activities scheduled for Sunday nights at the church.
If you want a place where, in the safety of a small group, you can take off your mask and be real with others and get real help and encouragement from others, then you need to join a Life Group. You don’t have to do life alone!
