What does it mean that "God is light"?  This and other metaphors can get lost on us, and we read right over them in Scripture! Pastor Scott shares what this phrase means, and how it should make us shine in a dark world.

"Depart from me, I never knew you." There really aren't any more-chilling words that can be considered. It is important for us to search our hearts regularly, to reveal whether we truly are a Christ follower, or whether just say that we are.

Things get personal in this sermon.  Anytime lust, sex, and crude speech are mentioned, we automatically start squirming.  Pastor Scott brings the message from Ephesians 5 about how imitating God leaves no room for these things to be in our life.

We all know how to "copy" someone, or "mimic" them -- but have we ever considered that as Christians, we are supposed to be imitating God? This really clears up some decisions that we make, but mistakenly think are "gray areas". Imitating God is pretty easily defined. Actually doing it is the hard part!

Are you a thief? I bet you'd say no, but this sermon will have you re-evaluating your initial answer.  Our new identity calls us to holy living, so there are character traits that we need to put off, and some that we need to put on.

Two struggles that we all have are lying and anger.  Is it possible to do these and not sin? Pastor Scott shares from Ephesians how to discern this very thing.

Christ-followers have responsibilities, and Pastor Scott shares two more of them in this section of Ephesians. They each take time and effort. Are you up for the challenge (s)?

Ephesians four brings us to a section on unity.  We're supposed to create unity, right? No?  Pastor Scott explains this, and shares that it has everything to do with what we focus on.
